These Lafil models rolling mills are ideal for material testing in laboratories as well as for small workshops.
Type: the configurations are two-cage rolling mills for plate and wire. Lafil models are used for plate & wire rough-rolling and finishing.
Structure: the structure of the rolling mill is a sturdy electro-welded steel frame with double coat baking painting. The cylinders uprights are obtained from steel plates.
Cylinders: the cylinders are made of special alloy steel with a grinded surface hardness 64 HRC (plate cylinders), 61 HRC (wire cylinders). On request it is possible to supply plate cylinders with
mirror finish or hard chromium plating.
Cylinders bearings: the bearings are mounted on mobile guides, they are heavy duty bronze plain bearings and are provided with automatic closed circuit pressure lubrication with oil recovery
Cylinders displacement: manual displacement by handle.
Cylinders drive: by means of mechanical homo-kinetic oldham coupling
Reduction gear unit: the rolling mills have a reduction unit made of helicoidal steel gears with oil bath lubrication. The electric motor drives the reduction gear with trapezoidal belts.
Drive: the rolling mills are driven by a one-speed electric motor, or two-speed electric motor (only Lafil 160 x 86 model). On board there is a control panel that includes all devices of maneuver and
control.
Reels: available, on request: horizontal motorized strip winder; horizontal idle decolier for strip; vertical idle decoiler for wire.
Safety devices: safety devices are provided (in conformity with the international laws in force – EC seal of approval), including: mechanical grids for cylinders, pneumatic barriers for emergency stop.
