Lafil Fixed and Variable Speed Double Rolling Mills Lafil double rolling mills are ideal for working non-ferrous metals and alloys. Thanks to their compact size, they can be installed in small workshops and laboratories. The rolling mills have two different cylinder sets: flat cylinders for plates; shaped cylinders for wire, and roulettes for halt-round wire. The metal base is covered with two panels that, when removed, permit access to the motor and electrical system. The alloy steel cylinders with very high surface hardness are mounted on brass bearings (Lafil 120 automatic lubrication). Cylinder closing is controlled by a handle (removable for adjusting parallelisms) and gears (with graduated scale for plate cylinders) for measuring the rolled section. An electric motor connected to an oil bath lubricated helical reduction gear unit controls cylinder movement. Each rolling mill has two independent pairs of cylinder drive couplings.
